Potomac River at Paw Paw
There is a concrete boat launch located here. Free parking and river access. Fishing Licenses are required.
C&O Canal
Paw Paw Tunnel
The Paw Paw Tunnel isn’t really in Paw Paw. In fact, it’s located along the C&O Canal just a short drive, walk or bike ride into Maryland. But it offers beautiful sights, hiking trails, picnic grounds and even some ghost stories! It was constructed over 14 years and completed in 1850.
Town Creek Aqueduct
Located on the 162 mile marker of the C&O Canal, Town Creek Aqueduct offers a scenic view of the South Branch of the Potomac River.
The Crossings
Public river access to the Cacapon River about 6 miles outside of Paw Paw in Pin Oak.
Pin Oak Fountain
Also located just outside of Paw Paw, is the historic Pin Oak Fountain. It was built in 1932; handcrafted from stone from the hillside nearby. Be sure to look to the “ceiling” and check out the quartz lining it!
